The Fly Stop was founded in May of 2006 with one purpose; to provide high quality flies at lower prices. As the sole owner of The Fly Stop, fly fishing has been nothing short of my life's passion as well as my livelihood. A former fly shop employee of ten years and established guide, I saw a need for better options. I made the decision to start a new path. The new company would focus on providing customers with products I was proud of and the best customer service in the industry. Now, seven years later, we have grown to include over 1,500 patterns ranging from a #26 Griffiths Gnat to a #3/0 Baby Chicken and dedicated tiers and staff to support our mission.
The bulk of materials used in the production of our flies are purchased from Hareline, The Bug Shop, Fly Men Fishing Company, as well as Whiting Farms. By sourcing components from some of the most recognized and established names in the business we can assure top quality components in every fly we tie. With our customers in mind, every order shipped is sorted, quality checked, placed in crush proof bins not bags, and labeled—corresponding to photos of each and every fly purchased—eliminating guess work upon arrival. The value pricing we are able to offer is based solely on volume and scale of sales to you, our customer.
