Now with that being said, what you perceive as being the best casting rod ever, might feel like a total piece of garbage to the next person. So, in short, here’s what we think about it.
The rod seems to recover really fast while having a very crisp tip-top. This enables you to use less energy during the cast, and allows you to feel the power of the rod towards the lower sections of the blank. There also is less shake and vibration in the rod, which makes your presentations deadly accurate. A couple of customers here at the shop, were able to put a fly on a paper plate their very first try. This was at a distance of about fifty feet, which is, in all fairness, twice the distance of your average cast required to catch a trout.
