June 2nd – The Carp Throwdown

Conway Bowman and Al Q host The Carp Throwdown at Lake Henshaw. The Tournament is really close to all of us here at The Fly Stop. Not only for the competition but for the comradery that come from this event. The night before there’s always a couple of camp/fish stories around the fire pits. A few beers will be had and a bunch of music. Now for the Tournament, not only is there a boat division but a walk and wade division as well. Then there the biggest trash fish competition. Everybody has a shot as long as you can make a fairly accurate cast. Don’t forget about the pot luck at the end of the tournament.
