The California Delta is one of the most unique water ways to fish in California. In one day, on a fast boat, you can fish Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Carp and so much more. All these different option makes this one of my favorite place to fish. On a recent trip my dad and I had our eye set on the Striped Bass.
As has been tradition for the last four years, we decided to forgo camping outside of Best Buy for a screaming deal on a 8k, 80” OLED TV or robotic vacuum or whatever the hottest consumer electronic is of the year, and make the trek to the Eastern Sierras to chase a better Black Friday Quarry.

Korean Trout
By Dave Smith
When we think of South Korea, out first thought probably goes to consumer electronics, like LG or Samsung or to the ongoing North/ South Korea conflict. What we probably don’t think about is fly fishing.
Turns out that South Korea manufacturers a majority of fly fishing gear for big name companies like Hardy/Greys, Sage, Redington, etc., and while this article isn’t on fly gear and where it’s manufactured, it’s interesting that a country that makes such a wide variety of fly gear isn’t thought of as a destination to catch fish on a fly, let alone a trout on a fly rod.
All of us here at The Fly Stop would like to congratulate not one but two of our good friends and fishing buddies for being selected for the finals of this awesome competition of Amateur Fly Fishing Films presented by Rio.
