Arkansas fishing waters welcome thousands of fly anglers every year. The Natural State offers 9,700 miles of fishable streams and rivers, and over 500,000 acres of lakes, bayous, and sloughs. This provides anglers an endless amount of opportunity to catch a fish of a lifetime while visiting there. In Arkansas, trout fishing for rainbow, brown, cutthroat and brook, is very popular on the White River, the Norfork, Bull Shoals, Beaver, Ouachita and Greers Ferry. The Little Missouri River in western Arkansas offers excellent fall and winter rainbow trout fishing. Catfish, crappie and bream are also abundant in the southern part of the state. The state provides some of the best local fishing areas you'll find anywhere, whether it be in a quiet cove on a lake, or the serenity of a mountain trout stream.
