Sage Pulse Fly Rod Review

SAGE PULSE REVIEW Another new addition to the SAGE line for 2016 is the Pulse. The Pulse is SAGE’s answer for anglers looking for a mid-price rod with the performance of a rod that normally cost twice as much. As of late this has been quite the popular price range with rods such as the Winston Nexus and Orvis Recon getting their fair share of loyal followers. These are fast action rods are built with Graphite IIIe technology and perform on par with rods twice their cost. The Pulse is built with SAGE’s proprietary Graphite IIIe technology. This technology uses glass scrims incorporated within graphite layers. Blanks with this technology are known for their light weight, dependability, as well as smooth feel. In real life angling situations this translates to a connected feel throughout the casting stroke resulting in effortless, long, and accurate casts. Casting this rod will confuse you with rods that cost double. The smooth, fast action is perfect for all around performance. High sticking nymphing, the pulse has you covered. Fishing delicate dries, the pulse has you covered. Throwing streamers, the Pulse has you covered. It’s fast action is a good all- around performer suited for any situation. Some of the other features of the Pulse include: Lichen blank color that is complimented with olive and black thread wraps, Fuji ceramic stripper guides, hard chromed snake guides and tip-top, and a black nylon rod tube with a divided liner. The all new SAGE Pulse is also designed and crafted by hand right here in the good old US of A, allowing you to save a few bucks but still support local. The Pulse is a spot on, fast action fishing machine that fills an ever so popular price range. This rod can hang with the best of them, and all at half the cost. 9 out of 10 Trout do not endorse the use of Pulse under any angling conditions. Buy a Sage Pulse here.
