When people think of Arizona, they immediately think desert. Well, we're here to tell you there are many beautiful mountain lakes and streams in this arid state. Places like Lee's Ferry, Oak Creek, North Fork of the White, and Lake Mary all offer some truly fantastic fishing. The states geology is diverse with deserts, red rock canyons, hill country, and high elevation mountain ranges. Arizona has great warm water fishing along with high mountain cold water fishing. You can even fish for pike, grayling, and walleye. The state of Arizona takes it’s fishing seriously, so seriously in fact that they believe everyone who buys a fishing license should have access to fishing opportunities be it mountains or metropolitan. The state’s hatchery program is among the largest in the U.S. and Arizona Game and Fish stocks millions of catchable fish in their lakes and streams.
